A lot of my recent paintings are inspired by finding  places on dirt bike.  Quite often they will be in very remote  locations, sometimes 50 to 100 miles away from the main road.  I can find places which I would not be able to hike, at least not  in a day. But there is also something else. The energy  and the excitement  involved of finding those places on the motorcycle  creates new energy which translate  onto the canvas.  The dirt bike becomes  essential "tool" in my painting process.
